September 5 Johnloguk....this one is for you!! I really love synchronicity! Last night as I was posting the pooch shot for Hillary, I had already made my choice for today's DP! On Sunday, August 10, I was driving the road which takes you across the Big Island, from Hilo to Kona, when this rainbow began to appear! As I was taking the shots, I was thinking of the rainbows which you've posted, and that I would offer you this two-shot panorama! (The speck of white in the upper right is the moon!) Hope your day was a touch brighter today!! I'm heading up to San Francisco tomorrow with my friend, Rikki! My son, Travis--the Women's Soccer Coach, from the University at Hilo, Hawaii--is 'stateside' this week with his team. Saturday night we will be attending one of their games which will be played at Kezar Stadium (not too far from the Golden Gate bridge). Rikki and I will be spending the night at the same hotel as Travis, and the team, then saying our goodbyes in the morning. Then, she and I are heading off and meeting up with two other friends to attend a workshop at the Westin, Downtown. We're leaving ourselves flexibility as to whatever time we arrive home on Sunday night !!! I won't be able to touch base w/ the Dailies until Monday or Tuesday! Blessings to all!! Have a fabulous weekend!!
1/11/11 I had an incredibly cool time at the lake this evening!! The sky was looking like it might be a very pretty show and when I first arrived, my Swan buddy was way over at the other side. As the show continued, the Swan finally made his way over to me. I had noticed that two 'fishermen' were using canned corn on their hooks and since I didn't bring any Swan treats, I asked to have some so to offer to the Swan. Everybody was happy! I'm sparing y'all another Swan shot....however---I DID get some gorgeous shots of him tonight!! Swan 1/11/11. I also added some other beautiful shots of this evenings sky show in my Atascadero Lake gallery. ************************ panorama/ 2 (verticle) shots merged vertically
October 2 The 'sunset show' at our local lake was very beautiful this evening; I couldn't catch the lightning & thunder with the camera (!!) and then the slight sprinkling gave way to a downpour. YAY! First rain we've had in quite a while. This afternoon and tonight felt....tropical! 2 shot panorama
