1. Daily Photos

My Task At Hand

My version of "Daily Photos" will be ever-so-typical of myself: 'A Different Little Twist'!! I'm using this gallery as an impetus: one of my present goals is to add several photos per day into this website. As I'm doing so, I will choose one of the photos to include in this 365 day project! (If I experience a difficult time choosing which image to use as my 'Daily Photo', I'll add the other choice(s) into my Contender gallery) Occasionally, there will be days when the photo was actually taken on that particular day! This will probably be governed by available time and my creative spirit! The photos within this gallery are available to order as prints and other merchandise; click on the 'buy' icons. I will appreciate any comments and/or critiques; click on the 'add comments' on the bottom left, and please include your name! You can also vote on the photos, if you choose; drag your pointer onto the enlarged image on the right; a box will appear on the top right which allows the voting process. Just click either yea-or-nay! Thank you for visiting this Gallery, and I hope you enjoy the photos presented here! © Copyright 2009 Lady Kates Photography

It was while we were renting our car at the airport when I heard the first rooster crow. I had forgotten about the fact that Kauai is inundated with chickens! THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!

I saw a t-shirt featuring one of these beautiful roosters - it read "The Kauai Road Warrior" !

I was giggling as I took these photos, thinking of this DP community, and the fact that you would expect this post from me!
Yeah..... me on a gorgeous tropical garden isle, running across poultry every time I turned around! Huummm!?
Hey, at least I didn't try to dress them up!

This explains my being M.I.A. ! This is where I just spent 10 wonderful days of R & R !

My husband and I had plans to leave two days after the Raul Malo concert.
I chose to leave the laptop at home, and stay away from internet availability; today is the first day I've been near my computer for quite awhile now. I must admit that I've missed this DP community! I've missed all of the incredible photography presented by you very talented and creative S'Muggers, and missed updates on many of you!!

We certainly enjoyed our time away together in such a beautiful Paradise.
Had more clouds, winds and rain than sun, but that actually was condusive to more R & R. We stayed the first half of our time on the North side, past Hanalei, at Kepuhi Point, with the above pictured Kanaha Beach as part of our front yard! We spent the second half on the South side, at Poipu. The above pictured Shipwreck Beach was an area just south of us. We did manage to get around quite a bit, went on a couple of awesome--kick-ass--hikes and OMG......the photos I have to sort through and choose from!! I'll probably be posting quite a few of them! I highly commend my husband for being so very patient with me and my passion for photos! He's going to use one of them on his new business cards, so I was on at least one particular mission!

The Shipwreck Beach image is a three-shot pano and Kanaha Beach is a two shot pano.

On January 31st, I posted information about a concert that my friend Maria and I (along with the other three--plus two--Sisters ---seven of us worked together for this show!---) were promoting as Five Sisters Entertainment...........RAUL MALO!
Well....I'll suffice it to say that the entire event was FABULOUS !! ALL involved, including F.S.E., the Band and the audience, had an incredible time!
Raul and his band put on a 'smokin' hot' show!

The Five Sisters each had to spend yesterday recuperating! We're almost back to 100% today!
