1. Daily Photos

My Task At Hand

My version of "Daily Photos" will be ever-so-typical of myself: 'A Different Little Twist'!! I'm using this gallery as an impetus: one of my present goals is to add several photos per day into this website. As I'm doing so, I will choose one of the photos to include in this 365 day project! (If I experience a difficult time choosing which image to use as my 'Daily Photo', I'll add the other choice(s) into my Contender gallery) Occasionally, there will be days when the photo was actually taken on that particular day! This will probably be governed by available time and my creative spirit! The photos within this gallery are available to order as prints and other merchandise; click on the 'buy' icons. I will appreciate any comments and/or critiques; click on the 'add comments' on the bottom left, and please include your name! You can also vote on the photos, if you choose; drag your pointer onto the enlarged image on the right; a box will appear on the top right which allows the voting process. Just click either yea-or-nay! Thank you for visiting this Gallery, and I hope you enjoy the photos presented here! © Copyright 2009 Lady Kates Photography

December 11 (Happy Birthday to my brother, Tommy!)

Meet Flannel !! She's been our resident feline and rodent hunter for @ 4 yrs.
Shutterbuglady has asked how our kitty introductions were going.
Thanks, Betsy! I'll share my reply to you:

"I had the resident 'Queen'-"Flannel"- outside last night, and the new one -"Rita"- inside. I held Rita in my lap while sitting near the sliding glass door, so they could see each other. Flannel wasn't perturbed, however, Rita kept hissing and growling. We've now taken to telling her "NO" whenever she demonstrates that behavior, and her body language tells us that she does know that word!

A little while ago tonight, Flannel wanted in and immediately went to comfy up on the couch for a warm nap! (Which, was actually funny! My husband came in to the living room and asked if I had set her up that way? "No.....she found that spot all by herself!" She had curled up on top of a group of throw pillows; one being a cross-stitched one that reads "It's Good To Be Queen"! - - - -that's MY pillow!!!- - - -I started to leave the room and he said "You're going to take a picture of her, aren't you!?" Then he started laughing, saying "I knew it!") And, I knew right then that I had my DP for today!!

Anyway, seeing as she was going to nap, I brought Rita in. They haven't noticed each other yet. Rita pretty much just goes off and finds a hiding place. That is, until she comes and finds me at the computer. Then, she wants to sit in my lap while I type, or work on photos!! She really IS a sweetie. But is VERY skittish/fearful."

Hopefully, within the next couple of days, these two little ladies will cross paths peacefully!

But....obviously Rita had better understand that she is only a 'Princess'!

Speaking of 'Princess', thank you for the comments on my Title Challenge submission of the sparklie phone! That was great entertainment!!

The winning title came in through a conversation: "The Queen's Hotline"
