1. Daily Photos

My Task At Hand

My version of "Daily Photos" will be ever-so-typical of myself: 'A Different Little Twist'!! I'm using this gallery as an impetus: one of my present goals is to add several photos per day into this website. As I'm doing so, I will choose one of the photos to include in this 365 day project! (If I experience a difficult time choosing which image to use as my 'Daily Photo', I'll add the other choice(s) into my Contender gallery) Occasionally, there will be days when the photo was actually taken on that particular day! This will probably be governed by available time and my creative spirit! The photos within this gallery are available to order as prints and other merchandise; click on the 'buy' icons. I will appreciate any comments and/or critiques; click on the 'add comments' on the bottom left, and please include your name! You can also vote on the photos, if you choose; drag your pointer onto the enlarged image on the right; a box will appear on the top right which allows the voting process. Just click either yea-or-nay! Thank you for visiting this Gallery, and I hope you enjoy the photos presented here! © Copyright 2009 Lady Kates Photography

Time constraints have necessitated the use of another photo from our Dallas trip as the DP for today.

In the heart of downtown Dallas stands a 29-story building which was built in the 1920's as the headquarters for the Magnolia Petroleum Company (later Mobil Oil). This building became one of the city's most notable landmarks in 1934 when Magnolia Petroleum Company erected a revolving red-neon sign in the image of Pegasus, the flying horse, on the roof. That original Pegasus was replaced twenty years ago with a replica, which presently shines from atop the building: replica
This is the original Pegasus which is on display at the Old Red Courthouse Museum, only blocks away from its' first home.

I had been watching beautiful cloud patterns during the afternoon, hoping that there was going to be a nice sunset show!
This shot was taken at Atascadero Lake; a small lake, adjacent to a pretty park and Zoo, minutes from my home.
This was the first time I've used 'Photomerge' to create a panarama.

We traveled home from Dallas today; my camera was in my suitcase, and I was too busy catching up after we got home to take any shots for today.
Instead, I'm including another of my favorites from my trip to the Dallas Zoo.
I had been standing at the Penguin area, watching them and taking photos for quite a while, when a mother, father and these two children walked up. Four of the Penguins looked over as they approached the glass, and one jumped in to swim over and check them out. 'On a stack of bibles', this Penguin was playing with these kids!! The little girl was especially delighted; as was the Penguin (seemingly!).
The rest of the images I had the opportunity to capture during this little playtime, will be uploaded soon! Please check back again in a couple of days!
