1. Daily Photos

My Task At Hand

My version of "Daily Photos" will be ever-so-typical of myself: 'A Different Little Twist'!! I'm using this gallery as an impetus: one of my present goals is to add several photos per day into this website. As I'm doing so, I will choose one of the photos to include in this 365 day project! (If I experience a difficult time choosing which image to use as my 'Daily Photo', I'll add the other choice(s) into my Contender gallery) Occasionally, there will be days when the photo was actually taken on that particular day! This will probably be governed by available time and my creative spirit! The photos within this gallery are available to order as prints and other merchandise; click on the 'buy' icons. I will appreciate any comments and/or critiques; click on the 'add comments' on the bottom left, and please include your name! You can also vote on the photos, if you choose; drag your pointer onto the enlarged image on the right; a box will appear on the top right which allows the voting process. Just click either yea-or-nay! Thank you for visiting this Gallery, and I hope you enjoy the photos presented here! © Copyright 2009 Lady Kates Photography

Last night I noticed a recent DP which MyKey posted:
(http://mykey.smugmug.com/popular/4/450188587_rtkyk#450188587_rtkyk) re: the plans we're making for our upcoming "Great Rock-Hunting Expedition"!

I took this photo, of 'MyKey-the photographer-taking a photo', during our trip last March; we had just experienced sunrise in Spangler Hills. This shot is perfectly illustrating a decision which we recently arrived upon re: our adventure for this year.
We are not taking a U-Haul this time; we're going to bring home photos instead of (so many!) rocks!!

We're REALLY looking forward to the experience!

*****Maybe we should request that MyKey post whatever shot she was capturing here, while prone in the desert sand!?!?*****
    January 9

I'm mostly recuperated from the wedding, but in order to catch up a bit, I haven't allowed myself any type of 'photo time' for several days; I haven't taken any new shots and I've missed my interactions here in this DP community!

In January of '07, a girlfriend called me one night telling me of this frozen fountain she had just seen. I left very early the next day to get some shots in the morning light. Very seldom does it get cold enough around here to cause something like this!

Shortly after I took this, I had it enlarged and was looking at it while still in the store. A woman came over saying, "Is that a wedding cake?"

*************Wedding of Travis Clarke and Kimberli Keller*******************

***************************December 27, 2008********************************

The entire weekend was wonderful! First and foremost, after 1 1/2 weeks of cloudy and/or rainy weather, we awoke Friday (Dec. 26) to sunshine!
The weather remained beautifully sunny, with slight, pretty clouds, and not even much breeze, throughout the weekend !!
We began the set-up of my brother's lovely home as the reception location, at noon on Friday, by moving all the furniture out of his living room/dining room! We arranged that area with tables and chairs (thanks to our son, Steven --he recently started his own rental business, www.partypartnersrental.com-- and was also VERY helpful with his time and energy), and continued with preparations until time for the rehersal, and dinner.
Late morning on Saturday, we began final preparations. The Mud Mamas arrived at noon, to offer their beautiful smiles and wonderful helping hands.
By the time we left for the wedding ceremony, my brother's house was a beautiful place waiting for a reception to happen! I love it when a plan comes together!
The wedding was at Shelter Cove, in Shell Beach (California). My daughter, Kamryn, was the Officiant; my son Evan was the Best Man; Kimberli's best friend, Kelly, was the Maid of Honor.
Kamryn did an outstanding job with the ceremony, even adding her touches of humor! Later on, several people asked how long she had been performing Weddings? "Well...since about 3:30 this afternoon!"

That which Travis and Kimberli had written, and spoke to each other, was very endearing; obviously shared with heartfelt love, sentiment and also touches of their humor!

Travis and Kimberli planned a wonderful wedding; beautiful in every way! And the help they received, from many, made it all happen!

And, BTW: it was different and fun to be the 'Mother of the Groom', sitting in the front row, with my camera! I tried to leave it in the car--or in someone else's hands!! Really, I did!
