September 14 What a fabulous perspective for watching a glorious Hawaiian sunset -- UNDERWATER!

September 7 We headed back to Hawaiian Paradise Park to spend two more nights with Evan. This Orchid bloomed while we were gone! It's different than any of the other beautiful Orchids he has in bloom right now. Greg and I both did some catch up computer work and played with his animals while Evan was at work. Then enjoyed a laid back evening and a great dinner!

September 6 Started the day with breakfast in the Queens Court! Then went for a walk through Liliuokalani Park. I added to by photo study of the incredibly beautiful Hawaiian trees. Check out the size of the car beneath the tree. We explored Richardson's Beach, then checked out Rainbow Falls and the river area above it. Spent some awesome time in the pools above the falls ;-) Evan joined us for sunset on our Lanai before going out for dinner and some good local music. The day provided some wonderful photo ops and it was difficult to choose just one!

September 5 Through his business Superior Performance, Greg did his workshop this evening for the Women's Soccer team at UHH (University of Hawaii Hilo). The information was well received mby Coach Unity Beddingfield and the entire team.

September 4 Checked in for our three night stay in Hilo along the waterfront of Hilo Bay. Went for an afternoon walk; that's old town Hilo in the background on the left. We met Evan for dinner then went to the unique & old original Palace Theater to see the movie The Intouchables.

September 3 Happy Labor Day!! And I am happy to report that there was no labor done here today! We spent the entire day lounging around Evans abode. I entertained myself by taking photos within Evan's Tropical Paradise ;-) Wow---one photo op after another! VERY hard to chose a favorite.

September 2 After leaving Lava Tree State Monument, we headed up to Volcano Natl. Park. Reminded me that just a couple of weeks ago, the U.S. landed a craft on the surface of Mars!

September 1 Arrived in Hilo on the Big Island, Hawaii on Sat. night, Sept. 1 !! Spent Sat. night and all day Sunday with my son Evan! Day 1: We did some touristy stuff starting with Sunday Farmers Market--was cool and fun! Then we headed to Lava Tree State Monument. I really like walking around in there! One of the truly beautiful aspects are the Albizia trees! My husband Greg and Evan, along with the car, are giving some perspective as to the size of the trees.

August 29 Atascadero Blue Moon

August 5 The sunset show two nights ago! 2 horizontal shots, stacked panorama Just before I was about to upload this, the house started shaking, windows rattled--I was headed in to get my husband and I outside when the earthquake stopped. 4.6 magnitude - centered 6 miles out of Parkfield, 25 miles northeast of Paso Robles (California) Those are soooo unsettling :-( However---ALL is well, and I AM GRATEFUL !

July 17 Spent a lovely evening in Morro Bay! (30 min. west of us) THANK YOU for all the comments & encouragement on last night's scene from Gruene, Texas! Y'all are great ;-) And it does look like a Grand S'Mugger Get-together IS taking shape for the first weekend n November! See my post from yesterday for more info.

July 16 ****Gruene, Texas ****-- the center of town just after midnight, we had it ALL to ourselves! Photo taken on July 2 during a Road Trip with my friend Maria--Texas or bust! ********************************************************************************************* I've missed my participation here in the Daily community ;-( I have an idea for y'all to ponder: A S'Mugger get-together!!?? The more the merrier! The first weekend in November (Friday - Sunday), meeting up in Gruene, Texas!?!? There's some excellent entertainment scheduled for Gruene Hall (the building in the center back ground of this photo) that weekend, playing both Friday and Saturday nights: Raul Malo There are several nice lodging accommodations and eateries right in town within walking distance of the music venue: List of lodging options Gruene is a delightful historic 'village' with photo ops galore, located @45 min. south of Austin. The weather in early November is usually very comfortable. Flights would be into Austin or San Antonio. So...any of you that happen to see this, please share the information with community members & other S'Muggers ! Maybe share the info on several of your upcoming posts over the next couple of months helping to make sure that everyone gets a chance to see it!? May 19 ***Don't even be thinkin' about taking the lollipop!*** Hannah Jane - our second grandchild - had a wonderful time today at the outstanding baby shower for Aunt Carli and Uncle Chris.

May 6 I present my version of a Super Nova.....or, gasoline and/or oil on asphalt during a rainy day last week. ---the full moon photos were a dismal failure both last night and tonight ;-(

April 24 Instead of posting another (beautiful) Iris, I am sharing one of the images I included today as I have been adding to a gallery of our town and its surrounding area: Atascadero

April 22 My Irises are really enjoying our wonderful weather and they love to be photographed! I love taking their photos, but it is sooo difficult to choose a favorite! I was going to make another collage; alas, I am tired now. This is SOOC. Good night!

April 16 I just love when my Irises start bloooming! This lil' beauty posed for me several different times today. FYI: viewing in larger size is much better! THANK YOU so much for your appreciation of yesterdays post of the Hawaiian 'flower'! Today I got in touch with my son who lives on the Big Island and asked what those are. They are actually seed capsules that drop from (invasive) trees. This plant is known as Autograph Tree because autographs and other graffiti can be scratched onto the stout, long-lasting leaves. March 27 I was asked to do a photo shoot for Easter! I was requested to be at specific location, at specific time and she had the 'subject matter' almost all set up when I arrived. Apparently this is her Easter Basket goodies for 'one' friend! Check in larger size to see more of the goodies. Can you find the handcuffs!?!? *************************** BTW: I have really missed this Daily community and my photo journaling. I'm hoping to catch up a bit ;-)

January 4 While strolling through downtown Salt Lake City we found a beautiful park area with MANY trees which were colorfully laced with lights and an ice skating rink. This shot is SOOC.

January 3 My friend Dianne and I were going to be at a business conference in SLC for 4 days, so I got in touch with Laura 'Bling' Johnson to see if she could meet up wth us!! We enjoyed a very festive time together as we walked around downtown! We headed over to the beautiful Temple, then had dinner at the top of the beautiful Joseph Smith Memorial Building in a fabulous resturant with a gorgeous view, and we happened to arrive just before sunset! Outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed our fun with ever-so-cute Laura! Thank you so much Ms. 'Bling' for spending some time with us! Hopefully we can do it again somewhere; sometime!?
