  • December 26 A --belated-- MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I've been a tad bit busy since my last post! ;-))) We've had a wonderful couple of days! My son Travis and his family came here for Christmas! My daughter Kamryn was also able to come join us! This photo is especially for Irishmurr and lil' Miss Maeve! During a phone conversation, I had mentioned to Irish about the new Santa Hat which I received as a gift from a dear friend---"a hot pink Santa Hat, with an attached Tiara!!" Also, please note my new sweater, which was also gifted to me from another dear friend---shivering Christmas Flamigos = Season For Freezin' ! Kamryn and I interrupted her guitar practice session with my grandson/her nephew Calix so that we could get a photo-donning the new hats- for Irish and Maeve! You girls just have to get your beautiful selves one of these hats !! ;-)

My lil' friend here got all dressed up for a party, was feeling pretty--and sassy--and wanted a photo of her gorgeous self! Later on, she wants to sit on the mantel next to the Angel! At least this girl knows what she wants! I hope you're all finding much to enjoy and appreciate during your Christmas Season!

  • October 26 This is an element of a photo project I am creating. The original image was taken on Aug. 29 while my friend Rikki and I were spending time in Cambria, CA. At this moment we were at the beautiful Cambria Pines Lodge wandering through their incredible gardens. I want to address the fact that as I type this, my Oct. 25 DP is 'unjustly' in the #1position. This morning the image received quite a few duplicate comments and I have left them there intentionally as they have been brought to the attention of those at SmugMug headquarters; mid day tomorrow they will be removed after they have been forwarded to another team at headquarters. Our gallant DP member leaving those comments was doing so to make it harder for the 'thumbs-downer' who had apparently had a REALLY bad day, was feeling exceptionally insecure, sick and mean and was working at taking photos off the new board--starting just after midnight -CA time--within minutes of them being posted and showing up on the new board. MANY of your photos were taken off the board :-( There were other members' DP's that were also -gallantly- given many duplicate comments just to get them back onto the new board and maybe to help keep them there after they'd managed to be taken off several different times. Earlier in the day, those other members removed their duplicate comments, so headquarters never did get to see those. The point of which was for HQ to see what sometimes gets resorted to in this community all because some member(s?) DOES NOT want to play fairly ;-( ( I am actually experiencing compassion for the deep issues this individual is suffering from in order to cause this kind of behavior) Headquarters did receive several notifications early today & messages throughout the day. They are sorry the community is having to experience this, are disheartened at the misuse of the system and "it's definitely something we are working on".

  • October 25 My husband was beginning some vacation time right after our trip to Cleveland; we had an overnight lay-over in San Jose, CA then flew out the next morning for Maui! We spent a wonderful week with daughter Carli and her husband, experiencing much R & R ;-) This was our first sunset, on October 8, with a full moon rising behind me!

  • October 24 While I was working in my office this morning, our cat was looking out the window and this guy came around the corner. They stared at each for a while; long enough for me to reach my camera! After minutes of staring at each other, he decided to be more comfortable during their communications! They then stayed in those positions for @15 minutes. I really do wonder what they were chatting about!?

Certainly one of the spotted photo ops: "Oohh, stop! Pull over!" LMAO!!! Maybe the Pizza is extra-special on Wednesday evenings?!?! LOL! Check out the keywords! Jill was our excellent Cruise Director, taking us south of Cleveland into some Amish Country (more on that in next post). The countryside was beautiful, with some gorgeous fall colors here and there. Of course we stopped MANY times for another photo op and this was one of those beautiful locations and fun times! We shared a wonderful day!

Meanwhile my photos from the Cleveland S'Mugger get-together, and-- immediately thereafter --time spent on Maui, are loading from my laptop onto a zip drive. Tomorrow I can load those into my MAC and get busy catching up. My next shot to post will be from Day 3 with the S'Muggers!
