January 7 The sunrise show (yesterday, 1/7) was pretty special !! However, I was a bit chilly while standing ouside in my robe taking sunrise photos ;-) I'm heading out to attend our annual (after) Christmas party = The Noble Gathering! Enjoy your Saturday! We sure will !! And...THANK YOU SO MUCH for your comments on yesteday's Swan....and her (actually, I was offered info that 'her' is a 'he' !) entourage! Y'all are awesome, and encouraging!
August 27 Another shot from last night's practice session. For this one, I had changed a camera setting, had turned off the green yard light and was wiggling a flashlight beam onto the big tree during the long exposure.
August 26 Did a technical practice session tonight, with the (almost) full moon behind me. For some shots I turned on the driveway area light, with the green bulb. Check out the enlarged version and you can see that the stars are red, blue, yellow and white! Very cool ! This is SOOC.

May 24 Weekly Challenge: The Place I Like to Hang Out... In my comfy patio chair on the deck of our home!!
March 2 My husband and I went to visit two of our daughters. We were busy visiting with 'the girls' and their men last night, so now I'm posting photos for yesterday and today, indicative of where the girls live. Our daughters live in different areas north of us, but the traveling time straight to either area is about the same: 2 1/2 hours. Both areas are still considered 'Central California'. Our first visit was in Gilroy. This tree is in the yard next door to the home of one daughter. I've posted this particular photo because the tree is so unusual. It is an Oak Tree that apparently wants to be a Weeping Willow!! I've never seen one like it , and we have many, many Oak trees, of different varieties, throughout our area of California. This one has long, tendril-type, drooping branches. And look at how far they hang in comparison to the size of the houses. This photo doesn't do any justice to the unique majesty and beauty of this tree!!
