'The Kiss'
It was an incredibly beautiful day, and I spent most of the day at the Dallas Arboretum! Along the shore of White Rock Lake, east of Downtown, The Arboretum is 44 acres of beautiful gardens, flowers, trees, landscapes, topiaries, fountains, pools, streams, pathways through lush foilage, waterfalls, sculptures, and even a 'Pioneer Town'. A true Diamond of a way to spend a day!!

I walked around in the downtown area again today. However, I went a different direction, heading towards the Arts District. This photo shows a small portion of the front of an old church, above the entrance. The diameter of the stained glass window is approx. 30 ft.

Spending the most time at The Nasher Sculpture Center, I really enjoyed the Garden area and outdoor sculptures. Take a visit to the Sculpture Gardens, see other photos of this beautiful church and that side of Downtown: click here

There are quotes painted on some of the walls of the hotel, all of which are in mirror reverse.

This is just so perfectly fitting for a downtown district of Texas!!
To give you an idea of the size of these 'sculpted longhorns', the top of their backs was almost level with the top of my head.....I'm 5'2". This was one heck of an art project.

I have written some explanation re: this trip and will be including a link to a gallery (with the rest of the photos from today) with my March 3 DP. Check it out! Here
