My version of "Daily Photos" will be ever-so-typical of myself: 'A Different Little Twist'!!

I'm using this gallery as an impetus: one of my present goals is to add several photos per day into this website.
As I'm doing so, I will choose one of the photos to include in this 365 day project!
(If I experience a difficult time choosing which image to use as my 'Daily Photo', I'll add the other choice(s) into my Contender gallery)

Occasionally, there will be days when the photo was actually taken on that particular day!
This will probably be governed by available time and my creative spirit!

The photos within this gallery are available to order as prints and other merchandise; click on the 'buy' icons.

I will appreciate any comments and/or critiques; click on the 'add comments' on the bottom left, and please include your name! You can also vote on the photos, if you choose; drag your pointer onto the enlarged image on the right; a box will appear on the top right which allows the voting process. Just click either yea-or-nay!

Thank you for visiting this Gallery, and I hope you enjoy the photos presented here!

FINISHED THE 'RENNOVATION PROJECT' TODAY !!!! WOO HOO!
Completed this particular aspect of the 'part-time job', and will continue on with a different aspect of it, next weekend. Inbetween now and then, my Knight-In-Shining-Armor has offered to take me camping along the Big Sur coastline for some much needed R & R! Halleluhia! We leave Tuesday morning!!

Yes, I DID take the camera today, so I could take the "After" shots! (Different dress code for the 'part-time job'!! None of the Feather Boas, Tiaras, Pearls or Sparklies!)
I'm thinking that sometime soon I will try one of johnloguk's 'two shots in one frame' treatment and show a before and after of the front. However, that won't be tonight; I'm tired. I need to go sit on the couch with my honey and have one of the warm, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies which I've been smelling for the last several mintues! (You know, we all celebrate in our own way!!)
P.S. Hate that car reflection in the window....but oh, well !! I'll deal with that later!!

This arrangement was on display at the Celebration for Goldie! Just a few of the items so very indicative of her!
What a perfect exclamation for this incredible woman!! And that's exactly how she left here!
And MyKey said it right by stating that we've just never before had this much fun at a funeral! Thanks, Goldie!

We attended another 'Memorial' this evening :( This one was to honor darlin' Goldie, the mother of our fellow 'Mama', Vickie (aka Dougie!).
The 'Mud Mamas' were proudly and respectfully represented by 9 of The Mamas, including Vickie.

Goldie was not only a wonderful mentor, but also our most dedicated, loyal, enthusiastic fan!!
"We knew you would expect nothing less of us, dear Goldie! We'll miss you! But we'll take care of your lil' girl !"

Yes...this evening's part of the two day Celebration was 'the visitation'.
Members of her family decorated the room, and foyer with many items that were some of Goldie's favorites, or at least indicative of a favorite pasttime of hers.
They also did a tremendous job in displaying photos of and including Goldie throughout her life!

Bottom row L to R: Susie, Maria, Vickie, My own self (yea-- the only one to have her eyes shut for the photo!?)
Top row L to R: Julie, Myki, Sherry, Rikki, Joyce
I used a tripod and the timer.

Many of you DP community members have already met Goldie, as I have introduced her in two of my DP's:
February 10
February 21

While the camera was still on the tripod, Myki (MyKey) and I used the timer for a shot of just the two of us for y'all !!

Didn't allow myself to take photos today either!
This was at the home of Carli and Chris, (this last weekend) within one of the planter areas in the backyard where the Graduation Celebration took place!

This is the last three days to finish the 'Rennovation Project'; I left the camera home again!

My photo time will have to be spent creating the new gallery for Carli: Carli's celebration gallery
Colby had a GREAT time at the party! He loved playing horseshoes with Grammpa!

Daughter, Carli and her husband Chris
CONGRATULATIONS,CARLI ! You've done it, girl ! Completed your Master's Program with flying colors! We're very proud of you!
Your celebration party was fun; a great time had by all! I'm creating a new gallery of your celebration, it will take a couple
of days before I will be able to finish uploading the photos.Celebration of Master's Degree

OK, MyKey! LOL!!
(BTW: Fannie IS going on the campin' trip!)

The truth is: I like them even if they're not breathing!!
This shot is one from a night-time practice session which I did last week. I needed a model !
I will be going back to this location with three toddlers, one of which will take the place of 'Fannie' here!

On April 3, I did another practice session (posted one as a DP), at a different location in preparation for this same upcoming photo shoot! I'm partial to this spot! Opinions?!

I won't be posting tomorrow night; we're going to go help our middle daughter celebrate her graduation from her Masters program!!! The party will include a campout in their big backyard, as many of the guests are coming from out of town! I'll probably be posting some kind of fun shot from 'the celebration party' on Sunday!? Have a great weekend!

This is a follow-up to my DP for yesterday. There were quite a few comments asking what kind of flower that was.
I took photos of it because of my fascination with it's unique qualities and beauty, not having a clue what it was!
So, I asked my sister and she had the answer for you!!
Yes! Karinaboese......I'm impressed; you are right! Even more specifically: The Pincushion Protea- Leucospermum cordifolium.
These plants are part of the Cape Floral Kingdom known in South Africa as "Fynbos." Over 7,700 plant species are found
in the Fynbos family.
Fynbos is an Afrikaans word meaning "fine bush" and consists mainly of members of the Protea and Erica families.

 "Rebeccahelm" might probably recognize these?!?!

Here is an informative site with a good Protea photo gallery

As my sister was telling me of their origin, I remembered that I have other photos of S. African flowers! I met a woman at a
Poultry Show that raises both exotic poultry and South African Plants. She had arranged with the hosting Poultry Club to
bring flowers to decorate the Showroom. I enjoyed photographing the gorgeous flowers as much as the beautiful poultry!
She is from the Monterey area; her site has information and photos of their 'Farm' and the many varieties of flowers which
are grown there:Fynbos Farm

This is one of the shots which I took at the Monterey Poultry Show. There are seven different kinds of flowers in this arrangement.

I added a new flower gallery: Exotic South African flora
