My version of "Daily Photos" will be ever-so-typical of myself: 'A Different Little Twist'!!

I'm using this gallery as an impetus: one of my present goals is to add several photos per day into this website.
As I'm doing so, I will choose one of the photos to include in this 365 day project!
(If I experience a difficult time choosing which image to use as my 'Daily Photo', I'll add the other choice(s) into my Contender gallery)

Occasionally, there will be days when the photo was actually taken on that particular day!
This will probably be governed by available time and my creative spirit!

The photos within this gallery are available to order as prints and other merchandise; click on the 'buy' icons.

I will appreciate any comments and/or critiques; click on the 'add comments' on the bottom left, and please include your name! You can also vote on the photos, if you choose; drag your pointer onto the enlarged image on the right; a box will appear on the top right which allows the voting process. Just click either yea-or-nay!

LadyKatesPhotography > September 21 Ladies Camping Trip Our favorite 'mini' lake! Only about a 2 mile hike from the campground, we tote our 'inflatables', a scrumptious picnic, and thoroughly enjoy the thermally-fed waters of this small lake! It is not as cold as the rivers! front to back: Kamryn, Stacy, Liz left: Sherry Note to Sparky--- re: your question "Did we forget our meds??!" ....ROFLMAO!!! Meds?!?! We don't (barely) consume alcohol either!! Lord, have mercy!! Just imagine if we did!!! One of the other 'Tribal members'--aka:"Dances-With-Snakes", told me to tell you one of our truths: "That's one of our main purposes for attending this adventure, is so that we won't have a need for our Meds!!" Note to Andrea Kaus--re: your comment "Geez, all dressed up and no place to go!" Oohhh, but Yes, we did; the Parade!! Well....actually, we WERE the parade!! Note to Kre8ive---re: your comment "I'm surprised your tents don't have verandas!" ooohhh, yes! Not only do some of them have verandas, there's also an award for best 'tent' decorating!! Note to Bill Pador---re: your comment "you girls certainly don't have to worry about a hunter mistaking you for a deer or any other of Gods creatures out in the woods" That was VERY comforting, Bill ! Now we can check 'Worry about Hunters' off our list!! Thing is, though....WE ARE God's creatures!! Note to Art Hill---"Army surplus?" ROFLO(our)A(es)O!! Note to Johnloguk---"Your lot really ought to lighten up a bit" We are going to heed your advice! We WILL try ; honest, we'll REALLY try!!!!! ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* The Mud Mamas would like to thank you for all of your many wonderful comments on the series of photos from our camping trip! We've been very entertained and enjoyed much laughter while reading through them!! And we're glad you've enjoyed and been somewhat entertained from viewing these glimpses into our adventure!

LadyKatesPhotography > September 19 And this is our favorite mudhole!! (Yesterday I shared 'our favorite swimmin' hole!) Definitely a favorite activity during the Ladies Camping Trip!! This incredible mud has the consistency of warm chocolate pudding!! After we're totally covered, we get out and bake in the sun on one of the warm granite boulders!! After rinsing it off, our skin is smooth as silk! This group of friends does have a Tribal name: Mud Mamas!! Any of our buddies that haven't yet gone on the campin' trip are Mud Mama Wannabe's! This year, we had 16 in attendance! I did use my tripod and the timer for this shot! Was quite the challenge for me to get back into the water and into position in time!! Stacy, Sherry, Julie, Me, Liz, Kamryn There's another Mud Mamas group shot in my Contender gallery!
LadyKatesPhotography > September 18 For several days I will be using my 'photo time' to share more from the Ladies Camping Trip! This is our favorite swimming hole, in the river which runs alongside the campground! And we will be the first ones to assure y'all that our swimmin' water here is VERY cold !! This shot was taken just after all three of us dove in together; we're not swimmin' yet!! We're just trying to catch our breath! (Stacy, Kamryn, myself---thanks to Sherry for taking this shot!) We spend much of our time relaxing and playing right here! There are two more photos of the river--and playtime--in my Contender gallery. ****************************************************************************************************************************** BTW: Apparently there was much browsing going on last night within some of my galleries!? I certainy appreciate the interest, and the voting which gave quite a few of my images a 'thumbs Up'! I also offer my gratitude to the votes and comments which I received as a result thereof!! My participation in the 'community' is very enjoyable and educational--on many levels! Thank you for the interraction!

LadyKatesPhotography > September 16 Back to our annual Ladies camping trip! That was already two months ago this week!?!? The time since that trip has soooo quickly flown by! I realize I promised to share a few shots.....but seems that I got carried away with shots from Hawaii, San Francisco....and Hummingbirds! (And having to take time away from the Dailies) My daughter, Kamryn, and I enjoyed the fabulous opportunity of spending our first two days with just each other! We arrived at our destination at @ 3:30 a.m. After a 3-4 hour 'nap', we opened the door of the trailer to the sunshine, blue skies and this meadow!! Notice the few clouds in the upper right? Well....soon after this photo, those clouds overpowered and the rain began!! We spent the majority of our time sitting in the nice, comfy and dry trailer, playing games and laughing ourselves silly!! Except for when we had to go out to release all the water that was collecting in the awning! See my Contender gallery! Surely worked out well for all the other ladies; we had first-hand information as to where NOT to set up their tents! This year, we had the trailer and nine tents, set up in one double site and one single site!
LadyKatesPhotography > September 15 Lil' Rhett, looking for Lil' Scarlett! I really enjoyed my Hummingbirds this evening!! Mr. Rhett here was a very willing model; I had a hard time choosing which poses to use as my DP, and another to include in my other DP gallery. There is a close-up portrait of Rhett in my Contender gallery! Some of the other shots will be included in my Hummingbird gallery. I might not get to do that tonight; this is one of the few--and certainly the longest period of time I have been able to access the internet since I posted yesterday's DP.
LadyKatesPhotography > September 14 We've been mostly without internet for two days; I tried to post a DP and catch up on comments last night, but apparently that was not in the plan! Thank you for the wonderful Birthday greetings! I've had a great B.D. weekend!! (Actually, I usually try to get it to last about a month! So far, so good!!) I'm only posting this as my DP in hopes that someone can help us to identify whatever it is??!! Neither my husband nor I have ever seen one before. It had 'slithered and slimed' up from our lawn onto the sidewalk. The amount of snail-like slime that remains on its path amazed me; how can something of only that size secrete so much substance (which is very sticky)? In a completely elongated state, this 'thing' is the length of my husbands hand, from wrist to tip of index finger (that's my index finger in the photo). We placed a piece of brown paper bag in front of the direction it was headed and it did end up totally on the paper. Within minutes thereafter, it secreted a mass of reddish-colored substance from its middle. Its traveling movement is like a combination of snail and snake and is able to lift its head like a snake and scrunch up its body somewhat like a snail. We'll certainly appreciate any information y'all can offer! (This is kind of a tough one to 'Google'!!) ************************************************************************************************ Update: Thanks to the information from Hershy and Shelly, I was able to do a touch of research to appease my curiosity! I've included some results in my Insects and other 'things' gallery.
LadyKatesPhotography > September 12 Happy Birthday to me!! I had a satisfactory practice session with my hummingbirds last evening!! I've included two more choices in my Contender gallery. I've also included several more images into my Hummingbird gallery.

This is our favorite swimming hole, in the river which runs alongside the campground! And we will be the first ones to assure y'all that our swimmin' water here is VERY cold !! This shot was taken just after all three of us dove in together; we're not swimmin' yet!!
We're just trying to catch our breath! (Stacy, Kamryn, myself---thanks to Sherry for taking this shot!)
