September 1 Arrived in Hilo on the Big Island, Hawaii on Sat. night, Sept. 1 !! Spent Sat. night and all day Sunday with my son Evan! Day 1: We did some touristy stuff starting with Sunday Farmers Market--was cool and fun! Then we headed to Lava Tree State Monument. I really like walking around in there! One of the truly beautiful aspects are the Albizia trees! My husband Greg and Evan, along with the car, are giving some perspective as to the size of the trees.

Just before I was about to upload this, the house started shaking, windows rattled--I was headed in to get my husband and I outside when the earthquake stopped.
4.6 magnitude - centered 6 miles out of Parkfield, 25 miles northeast of Paso Robles (California)
Those are soooo unsettling :-( However---ALL is well, and I AM GRATEFUL !

Spent a lovely evening in Morro Bay! (30 min. west of us)

THANK YOU for all the comments & encouragement on last night's scene from Gruene, Texas! Y'all are great ;-)
And it does look like a Grand S'Mugger Get-together IS taking shape for the first weekend n November!

I have an idea for y'all to ponder:
A S'Mugger get-together!!?? The more the merrier! The first weekend in November (Friday - Sunday), meeting up in Gruene, Texas!?!?
There's some excellent entertainment scheduled for Gruene Hall (the building in the center back ground of this photo) that
weekend, playing both Friday and Saturday nights: Raul Malo

There are several nice lodging accommodations and eateries right in town within walking distance of the music venue:

Gruene is a delightful historic 'village' with photo ops galore, located @45 min. south of Austin. The weather in early November is usually very comfortable. Flights would be into Austin or San Antonio.

So...any of you that happen to see this, please share the information with community members & other S'Muggers !
Maybe share the info on several of your upcoming posts over the next couple of months helping to make sure that
everyone gets a chance to see it!?

Here's to the hope that this could be a Get-together of grand proportions!!
