My purpose with this gallery, is to continue on with this project as a form of personal journal. I won't be posting on a daily basis; my intent is to journal more of the

"All you can ever do is before you now, in the present. Be thankful for all that has occurred to you. For your whole life has brought you here, to this moment, as is the same for all moments. Be thankful there are others who can possibly help you on your way. Be thankful that you are in the midst of a beautiful landscape being warmed by a dazzling show of light."
---WOW !!---

Making a long story short: a book was the origin of our Royal Road Trip,
"In the Shadow of the Sphere--Thomas Youngholm.

I started reading it on the flights into Albuquerque and didn't open it again until the first flight back home. I opened to my bookmark and was presented with the quote above.

Two photographers, photographing each other photographing!
On the infamous Ridgeline of Hwy. 12, Utah

This is sooo awesome! Alexa Walker and I are on a Royal Road Trip---Albuquerque to southwest Wyoming, then making way back to Albuquerque.
This image of a working photographer, taken by a working photographer, is along the Million Dollar Highway in Colorado. OUTSTANDING IN EVERY WAY!

I'm already behind in posting/journaling this trip :-( I will be posting shots to catch up.

The skies were beautiful over our local lake night before last!

Hey...Irish! I am so glad that you totally understand the value of 'starting them early'!!

Another from my recent trip to Redlands to visit my son and his family.
The first thing Calix did when I introduced him to "Mingo" was to come over and give Mingo a big kiss!!
He also really liked his new Mingo lantern.
June 21 ***HAPPY SUMMER!***

On May 17 we received notice that the camping reservations for our Annual Ladies Camping Trip had been cancelled :-( We make these reservations 6 months ahead of time; this news caused disappointment, pouting and some whining---even though one of our rules is "No Whining".
The cancellations were due to the anticipated probable flooding of the campgrounds due to run off of excessive snow melt. That particular (and our favorite) campground is not even due to open until Aug. 1; our trip is mid-July.
After much research to find different accommodations for our group, we finally discovered this pictured campground along the Kings River. We were being forced to try something new; spent a day trip reconissance mission to check it out, and decided it would do!
Our Central California temps have been rising causing the excessive snowpack in the Sierras to rapidly thaw and forcefully flow downstream. These rivers and streams are now swelling and problem flooding has begun.
This morning we learned that this beautiful campground is underwater. Notice has also been given that the counties which the Kings River flows through have 'Closed' the river; no swimming, no boating, no tubing, no rafting...until further notice.
So....presently once again we have no accommodations for our trip which is in 3 weeks.
I really am trying NOT to pout & whine!
I am NOT gunna get my panties in a bunch about this!

3 shot panorama - if viewed larger you can see the river
That's my car on the far left in one of the three campsites-along the river-that we have reserved......IF the waters receed.

This certainly caught my attention in charming downtown Redlands last week!!
June 15

I'm in Redlands visiting my son Travis, his wife, Kimberli and grandbaby Calix!!
Calix and I have been working on his vocabulary; so far he's added "moon" and "pretty" and "bye-bye"! I was also shooting for "awesome" before I leave, but that one might have to wait a few more months!

The best wedding kiss I've ever seen !!

The groom is my husband's youngest child. It was a beautiful day, a spectacular wedding and a fun reception!
The best part for me was that my husband and I had all six of ours, and all of theirs, in attendance! Since the most recent grandbaby, that was a first!

Congratulations Steven & Emily!
