"Arrgh! Damn thing's empty once again!?"
September 18

During a weekend visit with daughter Carli, and her family, the men chose to play golf; Carli, Bradley and I
spent the day at the 'Northern California Renaissance Faire', at Casa de Fruta, Hollister, CA
OH GOODNESS!! How ever do I choose a favorite photo from the day?!?!
I'm thinkin' these two might have gotten into the 'fresh juice' from my previous post!!??
This is SOOC. I'm going to post several images from the day over the next several days and hopefully will create a gallery

This caught the attention of my daughter and I as we were pulling out of town (??) at the end of our get-away last Thursday evening. Yessirreee, we found the first available spot to pull over, turn around and go back to grab this one ;-)
To give an idea of size, the width in the center from, side to side, is @8 ft.
Just makes us say "Huummm??"

Another excellent birthday celebration for myself (aka The Queen) and BDay Buddy, Julie (aka Melons)!
Shared a beautiful evening and delicious dinner with our good friends Rikki, Maria and Vickie; dining outside in Rikki's lovely patio area!

THANK YOU LADIES!!
September 12 ***HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME***

One of the reasons my daughter and I went on our recent get-away (mentioned in my previous post)
was to begin my birthday experiences early!

We thoroughy enjoyed our time at the Rio Sierra Riverhouse. One of our favorite aspects is for hanging out
on a beautiful river beach, and the refreshing water play!
September 2

I just learned that my daughter and I ARE going to share several days together starting Monday, Sept. 5!!
It's a mini way of making up for July: afterall, we did not get to go on our Ladies Annual Camping Trip this year ;-(
Our choice of location is the Rio Sierra Riverhouse in Three Rivers, CA
*** AWESOME place!
We're both looking forward to some serious R & R on those beaches, in those chairs, on those rocks, in that river,
on those decks...!

This is one of the beauties we found at the nursery in Cambria.
August 31

Oh yes...I was truly mesmerized with this water feature! (my DP for yesterday is a zoomed in image of the large flower)
The entire rectangle is about 3 ft. wide and 5 ft tall. The iridescent glass changed colors as to what was being reflected.
So even if I only moved 2-3 inches, the light changed as would the reflected colors. My friend came to find me and stood
there laughing, "What are you doing!??" I was 'dancing' with the fountain and watching the colors change! (I've always been
a believer in the "dance like there's nobody watching"!)
I was wearing a hot pink zippered sweatshirt and a turquoise blouse. When I zipped up the sweatshirt, the flower turned many
shades of pink, orange and red. When it was unzipped, and held open a bit, those same colors were dancing around shades of
the turquoise, with blues and greens! LOL! Yessirree--I AM sooo easily entertained!

As I was getting ready to upload this, it dawned on me to see what would happen by playing with the 'hues' in PS Elements.
Oh, my goodness! I absolutely couldn't decide which one I liked the best, so I put it back to sooc, and now share it with y'all!
August 30

Yesterday and today I shared some get-away time with my friend Rikki. We headed over to the coast and spent most of our time in the wonderful little town of Cambria.
Photo opportunities presented themselves everywhere we looked! We found a beautiful Nursery to wander through, complete with Zen Gardens, Koi ponds, waterfalls, fountains and MANY plants and flowers which neither one of us had ever seen before
I was especially drawn to this water feature! The water was slowly flowing down over the top, completely from one side to the other. The 'effects' are caused by the water flow. The flower is iridescent stained glass.
This is SOOC except for a slight bit of 'straightening'.
